2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies make it possible to recognise your device on repeat visits, remember your choices, measure traffic and deliver targeted content and advertising. In addition to cookies, in this policy we use the collective term “cookies” for similar technologies such as pixels, tags, SDKs and local storage.
Cookies can be first-party or third-party cookies, and they can be session or persistent cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser; persistent cookies have a defined expiry time
3. Legal basis and consent
We use cookies on the basis of your prior, voluntary and informed consent, cf. section 3 of the Danish Cookie Order (Executive Order no. 1148 of 9 December 2011) and article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The only exception to the consent requirement is cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested (functional/necessary cookies).
Cookies are only placed once you have given consent via our consent solution (CookieManager). You may change or withdraw your consent at any time — see section 8.
4. Which cookies do we use?
We divide cookies into four categories. The updated, complete list of specific cookies — including names, provider, purpose and expiry — is generated dynamically by our consent solution and is shown at the bottom of the page skyenergy.dk/cookie-politik/.

Preference cookies remember choices you make, e.g. language or region, to give you a more personalised experience.
5. Specifically about Google Ads enhanced conversions
We use “enhanced conversions” in Google Ads. This means that when you e.g. complete a contact form or carry out another conversion on the website, we send — provided you have consented to marketing cookies — selected information (typically email address, possibly name and phone number) to Google in hashed (irreversibly encrypted) form. Google matches the hashed value against logged-in Google users in order to improve the measurement of conversions and the effectiveness of our advertising.
The purpose is solely improved measurement and targeting of advertising. The legal basis is your consent under GDPR article 6(1)(a). You may withdraw your consent at any time via our consent solution; after that we no longer send this information to Google.
Google acts as an independent data controller for the hashed information used to improve advertising products across Google’s customers, and as a data processor for the measurement data relating to our account. Further information is set out in Google’s own terms and data processing agreement.
6. Recipients and third parties
When you accept cookies from the statistics and marketing categories, we share the data the cookies generate with the following types of recipients, who act as independent data controllers or data processors:
• Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC (Google Analytics, Google Ads, YouTube)
• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram Pixel, Conversions API)
• LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company and LinkedIn Corporation (LinkedIn Insight Tag)
• Hotjar Ltd. (Malta) and/or Microsoft Corporation (Clarity) — depending on the tool
• CookieManager — our consent management provider
We have entered into data processing agreements with the providers that process personal data on our behalf, to the extent required by the GDPR.
7. Transfer to third countries
Several of our providers are established in the USA or transfer data to affiliated companies outside the EU/EEA. For these transfers we rely on one or more of the following transfer bases:
• The EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (the Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023) for recipients certified under the scheme (including Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. and LinkedIn Corporation).
• The European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) supplemented by a transfer impact assessment and, where relevant, supplementary technical and organisational measures.
• Your explicit consent, cf. GDPR article 49(1)(a), where another transfer basis is exceptionally not available.
You may ask us to state the specific transfer basis for a given provider by contacting us using the details set out in section 1.
8. How to give, change or withdraw consent
The first time you visit skyenergy.dk, you are presented with our consent banner. Here you can accept all cookies, reject all non-necessary cookies or make individual choices per category.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the consent icon in the bottom corner of the website or by clearing cookies for skyenergy.dk in your browser. You can also delete or block cookies in general via the settings in your browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari all provide guides in their help centres).
Please note that blocking cookies may mean that parts of the website do not function optimally.
In addition, you can opt out of Google Analytics via Google’s official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating advertisers via youronlinechoices.eu or youradchoices.com.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to data portability and to object to processing. You can exercise your rights by contacting us at info@skyenergy.dk.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, if you are dissatisfied with our processing — see datatilsynet.dk.
